She'd see he was responding, at the very least.

So... she really wanted to look after him, again...

She really was too good for him.

A pause, and he raised a hand to cover his eyes as the realization of what he'd just said struck him--

"I-if, there is, a next time, I mean, I--"

Uuuruuughhh why was she making him feel like such a dumb teenage boy?! Was that just her or was her essense somehow causing this effect?!
