[As usual when Naomi doesn't have customers at the moment, she's in the back, swimming around her cauldrons brewing upon their warm vents in the water, taking stock notes of her ingredients that need to be resupplied later. She already lost a bit while the Story Eater was roaming around and many of them were asleep, but she could--]
[She looks up at the crashing occurring outside and likely in her apothecary.]
[... Well, she could've made due with what she had left, but from that sound, maybe not anymore. She wonders who it might be, thinks of an idea, but also wonders which shelf they might be breaking. Not every potion she had out there was safe. She would wait a few more minutes; besides, she needs to bottle this cauldron that's almost done.]
[The bottles shatter as the potions hit the floor, unknown liquids spilling out and mixing with each other. Hyde remains oblivious as he throws anything he could grab into other things.] You witch, come out here-!
[He tries to walk, but his right foot gets caught in something. Ice was forming around his leg when he looks down. Growling in frustration, he works to free himself. A moment later, there was a loud boom that made the building shake. Smoke was seeping out from the main room where an explosion had occurred. Hyde had been blasted into the back wall.] Ugh, dammit...! [He was still conscious, but for some reason his body wouldn't respond and move. He just felt numb all over.]
[Smoke drifting on her water, she'll put the stopper on her last bottle and finally swim up. Stepping out, she maintains her mermaid appearance a little longer before she dries, staring down at him with the usual silver hair and dress forming over her.]
Better after taking some of your aggression out on my few remaining wares? Honestly, how was smashing up an apothecary with unlabeled bottles a good idea?
[He struggles to try and move when he heard the water, failing. So all he could do is glare at the witch who has finally made her appearance.] It got your attention. [He tries to move again, only just able to clench his fists.]
[He grits his teeth at that and forces a subject change.]
You gave him those potions, thinking you'll give him a false sense of hope? Nothing can change what has been written. This body will be mine in the end.
Oh... that. I tried to convince him otherwise. After all, you both have to live quite literally together; and yes, I know how it's written. But Hyde, your fate is death in those pages just as much as it is his.
Hm... so then what happens? Does the story begin again? Will you two spar once more to die and repeat? If you continue this feud, I suppose we'll find out.
[She wonders... looking at him, she wonders if she would see the outcome. Would he manage to win? He'd like to think so - just like he thought Adam was no deal. Dumping the glass aside, she goes to fill a bucket.] I don't think I can offer you a drink until the paralysis wears off.
... Right. I suppose there's a conversion of energy when changing between you both. It's the same body, but there are physical differences... not that I'd be able to get the other part of you to eat.
[She makes no comment so weird flex on his part that just makes her resume her task.] I suppose I have something you could eat.
Jellyfish. Where do you think that paralytic came from?
[Though, that one in particular wasn't hers. She extracted it from another jellyfish.] I have some curry and naan bread. [Annnd she watches him now because he might have jelly legs getting up before the affects were done.]
[She be right to suspect that. Like he was walking on ice, he couldn't keep himself standing. So he digs his claws into the wall behind him to stay upright.]
What makes you think I'm just going to accept your poisons? [His stomach gurgles again.] I just threaten your life. I want you dead!

All that hard work, instantly down the drain.

I'd ask what you wanted, Hyde, but it looks like I'm temporarily closed for some reason.

[She's working on clearing away glass, but she's troubled by something. That bucket of water will become a potentially volatile potion cocktail...]

Tch, damn you! [Because his current predicament is totally her fault.]

I get impulses are your thing, but again: potions. I guess you fell through that part in the dream though...

...Hah, nice try. I can't quite die, Aspects don't "die". That Storyteller fella said so.

He won't admit it, but his will is getting weaker. I can feel it. He's not even awake right now to fight me...

Grk, not now...! [He needs to move if he wants to remain conscious. All he can move is his arms though, dammit.]

[How old are you again? She's working on mopping up, but does have to stop and stare at him again.]
no subject
It's not my fault he wears clothes unsuitable to contain all of this. [He flexes, very much admiring himself.]

Is it me? Or do you want Adam dead?
no subject
I hate that guy. [He mutters under his breath.]

[She shakes her head.]
... Sorry you had to even meet him. He's been dead for over two years now.
